Going…going…zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Wigan v Fulham. If ever there was a fixture to put you into a deep sleep then this is it. I asked a friend before what he thought the score would be for this match but he told me the game would probably be abandoned after the players fell asleep on the pitch. Other people agreed with me that a predictable 0-0 would be the likely outcome.

The Wigan board seem to have realised that this game could be, lets say, a bit boring and have announced that children can get in for a quid if they live in some local schools. So if you do turn up on saturday, expect to see more kiddies than usual. Will they manage to stay awake? Possibly not but a game like Wigan v Fulham is hardly going to persuade them to come back to watch another game is it?

Team news now. Wigan have Kevin Kilbane suspended. He will probably be in the stands with a hot chocolate and a pillow watching the, er, entertainment.

As for Fulham, well who cares?

My prediction: drink plenty of caffeine before the game- its gonna be a long one.

I wish this was the match on FSC after the London Derby. I could get a nap in before the Chelsea/Blackburn game.

I would never have thought that Wigan v Fulham might be boring, both sides play great attacking football, couple that with the fact that Wigan have the best playing surface in the country and you have all the makings of a classic.
